SeaWorld Passes for Blood Donors this Week

SeaWorld Pass for blood donors until July 5th, 2025

Special blood drives will offer this SeaWorld incentive for donors.

SAN ANTONIO –To help alleviate blood shortages that happen during the hotter months South Texas Blood & Tissue is giving donors a special thank you for saving lives, with a pass to SeaWorld.

From June 29 until July 5, blood donors will receive a SeaWorld Day pass and a Valero gift card (valued from $10-$150) for their generosity at select community blood drives

Across the nation, blood donations drop sharply during the summer months. With school drives on pause, severe weather, and busy travel plans, fewer people are giving. Yet patients in our community still rely on blood every single day for accidents, cancer treatments, and life-threatening emergencies.

Frequent donor Marty Shuh knows the importance of blood donation. She is South Texas Blood & Tissue’s first 100-gallon female donor: an incredible accomplishment that takes years to earn. Marty’s donation journey began many years ago.

“I didn’t have a reason to donate,” Marty said. “I started donating and just never stopped. Patients need blood and I’m happy to come and do it. But it’s the folks here. They’re always so friendly, and grateful, and we’re excited to see each other. I didn’t get that from people I worked 30 years with.”
