Dear Board of Directors,
As the 2026 Blood & Tissue Center Foundation Chairs, we are honored to lead the Foundation during a year focused on momentum and meaningful impact.
Last year, David and Meredith Alvarez left an enduring mark on The Blood & Tissue Center Foundation. Their word of the year, “connect,” defined our efforts to build new relationships in support of a transformative goal: expanding access to lifesaving cell therapies for patients across South Texas.
Our 2025 Red & White Ball Chairs, Nicole and CJ Czelusta, hosted a beautiful, record-breaking event that helped fund a second mobile cell collection center for BBG Advanced Therapies. We are deeply grateful for their leadership through the last year.
As your 2026 Foundation Chairs, we are committed to carrying forward the thoughtful progress built by all of our past leaders. That is why our word of the year for 2026 is “momentum.”
We are immensely grateful to Rebecca and Scott Nathan for helping us carry forth this progress with the 2026 Red & White Ball, which will help fund BioBridge Global’s lifesaving mission. Their theme for the ball, “ripple,” showcases how one act can have a lasting impact on our families and communities for generations.
We are also grateful for the continued involvement of each member of the Foundation’s Board of Directors. The Foundation’s work wouldn’t be possible without you.
