Cord Blood Services

Cord blood services were established in 2005 through the Texas Cord Blood Bank to support collection and banking of Cord Blood Units for transplant.

Collection programs are governed by Institutional Review Boards associated with our partnering hospitals.

We support the utilization of fresh or frozen cord blood units for research. 

Laboratory Services

Onsite AABB-accredited laboratory offering a range of services including:

  • Cell enumeration and characterization (CD45, CD34, 7AAD)
  • Mononuclear cell isolation
  • Storage (cryopreservation)

Working hand in hand with our customers to ensure we deliver cord blood units that meet their specifications for research.

  • Fresh or frozen Cord Blood Units
  • Unit selection based on Total Nucleated Cell count
  • Unit selection by weight or volume
  • Unit selection based on Red Blood Cell count
