Spurs ticket giveaway encourages blood donation in San Antonio

Eight donors will win lower-level tickets to the April 10 Spurs vs. Mavericks game

SAN ANTONIO – A Spurs ticket giveaway is giving blood donors a chance to win big. Anyone who donates blood at a South Texas Blood & Tissue donor center now through March 14 will be entered into a drawing for lower-level tickets to the April 10 Spurs game against the Dallas Mavericks.

The I-35 rivalry is always closely watched and one of the most anticipated matchups of the season. Use promo code TICKET to enter into the drawing.

Eight winners will be announced on March 16. Each prize includes two lower-level tickets and a parking pass.

South Texas Blood & Tissue has teamed up with the San Antonio Spurs to encourage the community to donate blood. According to the recent statistics released by America’s Blood Centers, a blood transfusion occurs in the United States every two seconds.

Take the shot and visit any of our nine conveniently located donor centers for a chance to win.

Battle of the Badges Laredo blood drive unites police and fire departments

LAREDO – This March, South Texas Blood & Tissue is hosting another friendly competition between the Laredo Fire and Police Departments to see which team of first responders can collect the most blood donations. It is a friendly way for South Texas Blood & Tissue to build connections and engage with the Laredo community. Last year, the Laredo Fire Department took the bragging rights with the most blood collections.

Regardless of the winning team, everyone agrees that lifesaving is the goal. Blood helps patients such as Halo Botha, who was diagnosed with lymphoma last July. Halo will need chemotherapy and likely blood transfusions as she continues on her healing journey. Battle of the Badges Laredo Edition drives:
