A lifesaving blood donation is your ticket to Spurs vs. Pelicans
SAN ANTONIO – Spurs fans have a limited time opportunity to help save lives and score free Spurs tickets. From Sunday, Jan. 18, through Wednesday, Jan. 21, anyone who donates blood at a South Texas Blood & Tissue donor center in the San Antonio area will receive a ticket to the Jan. 25 matchup between the San Antonio Spurs and the New Orleans Pelicans.
Donors must use promo code “TICKET” when scheduling to qualify for the offer.
January is National Blood Donor Month. The first month of the year is typically slow for blood donations. The need for blood never decreases. 3-year-old Cali relies on the generosity of blood donors to keep her alive.
Before she was born, Cali was diagnosed with alpha thalassemia major. Because her body cannot produce functional blood, Cali needs to receive blood transfusions every four weeks to stay alive. Blood donations are literally her lifeline.
“Blood donors are what’s keeping Baby Cali alive and healthy,” Clarissa, Cali’s mother, said. “There aren’t enough words to express my gratitude because donating blood is such a lifesaving, selfless act. I’m eternally thankful to those who take the time to donate.”
