The Blood & Tissue Center Foundation
Board Member Spotlight
Claire and Patrick Rouse
What inspired you to join the Blood & Tissue Center Foundation Board?
When we welcomed our first child, we learned about the benefits of cord blood and the ongoing research and treatments that are made possible through cord blood donations. We were drawn to the work the Foundation was doing to support those efforts in our community.
What do you like to do?
Our favorite thing to do is spend time together as a family. Most weekends you can find us at our kids’ various sporting events or hanging out with friends. We also enjoy weekly date nights at local restaurants. In addition, we love our annual family vacations to both Florida and Colorado and weekend trips to the lake with extended family.
What motivates you?
Helping other people and raising our children to be kind and compassionate members of our community.
What are your most cherished moments or greatest accomplishments of your time on the board and what you are looking forward to in the upcoming year?
We were honored and humbled to co-chair the Red and White Ball last year with Mary and Steve Brook. Through the generous contributions of all of our donors, the Foundation was able to secure funding for two new bloodmobiles.
We are looking forward to furthering the mission of the Foundation to raise awareness and donations to support the lifesaving activities of BioBridge Global and all of its subsidiaries. Given the challenges created by COVID-19, the Foundation has an opportunity to creatively identify new ways in which to accomplish those objectives and we are looking forward to exploring those.
