South Texas Blood & Tissue is giving locals a chance to help those impacted by the July 4 Kerr County Flood.
South Texas Blood & Tissue is providing blood donors an opportunity to help support relief efforts for the Hill Country community impacted by the July 4 Kerr County flood. Blood donors who give at one of the nine donor centers receive Donor Rewards points, and those points can be redeemed – or donated to the Kerr County Relief Fund – through South Texas Blood & Tissue’s Double Your Impact program. The Kerr County Relief Fund is providing aid towards rebuilding efforts after the devasting flood.
As the response continues, and the community mourns, donating blood and Donor Rewards points is a way blood donors can support our neighbors recover
“All blood types are appreciated, but those with O-type blood are highly encouraged to donate, as the need remains high and supply low,” said Audra Taylor, Vice President of Blood & Tissue Operations. “We are grateful for the donors who came in before tragedy struck Kerr County, so we had blood on the shelves to provide in response.”
Donors will be able to find more information at SouthTexasBlood.org. To schedule a donation, call 210-731-5590 or visit SouthTexasBlood.org.
