SAN ANTONIO – South Texas Blood & Tissue is giving blood donors another reason to roll up their sleeves this summer. From now through July 15, donors who give at any South Texas Blood & Tissue donor center can enter for a chance to win a two-night stay for four at Kalahari Resorts & Conventions in Round Rock.
Donors should use promo code VACATION when scheduling their appointment to be entered into the drawing. The prize includes a two-night stay for four, indoor waterpark passes and a $200 dining credit.
Summer is one of the toughest times of the year for supporting the community blood supply. With school closures, vacations, and severe weather, donations decline; but patient needs remain constant.
South Texas Blood & Tissue is currently 300 donations short of the 600 needed daily to adequately supply local hospitals. type O blood is especially needed, as there is just one day’s supply.
