Donors who participate will receive two tickets to the July 18 San Antonio FC match while supplies last.
Type O blood is the first blood type used in many emergencies because there is not always time to determine a patient’s blood type. When supplies are low, every donation helps ensure hospitals have blood available when patients need it most.
With only about a day’s worth of type O blood available, there is little cushion when multiple trauma patients or other emergencies occur.
Schedule a donation by visiting SouthTexasBlood.org/SAFC or calling 833-YOU-GIVE (833-968-4483).
