The winner of the Jordan Ford Mustang Giveaway has been announced – Riyadh Al Shark is the lucky donor who received the lease on the 2024 Mustang.
The organization planned to announce the news earlier, but Riyadh ironically couldn’t come to Jordan Ford because he was scheduled to donate blood at South Texas Blood & Tissue‘s Donor Pavilion.
Unfortunately, he was deferred because his blood pressure was too high – he says it was the excitement of winning. He immediately scheduled another appointment for first thing in the morning.
This time around, he was able to donate. Right after being in the chair, he set off to Jordan Ford for his prize.
“When I saw the email, I couldn’t believe it,” he says. “I thought it was spam. It wasn’t until I kept looking at it until it finally hit me.”
The latest donation was his third with South Texas Blood & Tissue. He had also donated at University Hospital a couple of times, but say’s he is sticking with STB&T from now on.
Riyadh has lived in San Antonio for five years since emigrating from Iraq. A gentle and calm man, he accepted his prize with a lot of grace and dignity. This is the first time he’s won something like this and he’s gracious for the blessing, he explained.
“I always think there’s something good for those that do good for others,” he says.
